Which model do I have? (Identify your Aga range cooker)

If you're not sure, even after reading this page, which Aga range cooker model you have then give us a call and we'll work it out over the phone with you, it'll only take about 2 minutes! There are no spares available for Aga range cooker 47/10's (Model C), Aga range cooker 82's (Model F) or Agathermic cookers I'm afraid but follow the links if you suspect you have one of these for a little history! We've digitally removed the badges from these images as they are a trademark!

Post-1974 'Deluxe' Aga range cooker (1974-present)

Easily identified by...

• ...the small upstand across the back of the hob. This is about an inch high and 3/4 inch thick, not big enough to stand a mug of tea on!
• ...the towel rail sits between the brackets with the ends of the rail hidden by the brackets. 

Later models of 'Deluxe' Aga range cooker may have a louvered box section across the back of the hob depending on flue type. If you have this instead of the raised lip you also have a post 1974 Aga range cooker and more than likely post 1995!

The four oven versions have a joining strip and separate towel rail sections (4 towel rail brackets) or joining strip integral to the module section (3 towel rail brackets including a 'T' bracket in the centre). The lid tops are always chrome, it is not possible to fit fully enamelled lids. 

 

 

Pre-1974 'Deluxe' Aga range cooker (1956-1974)

Easily identified by...

• ...a low shelf across the back of the hob behind the lids. Big enough to stand a mug of tea on!
• ......the towel rail sits on the brackets with the ends of the rail visible.

The four oven versions most often have a 'one piece' hob that spans the full width of the cooker and a full width towel rail but 'two piece' hobs do exist!

The lid tops are always chrome, it is not possible to fit fully enamelled lids. 

 

 

'Standard' Aga range cooker (1941-1972)

The 2-oven 'Standard' also known as Model C. With a boiler was Model CB and the 4 oven version is Model E. This is your more 'vintage' looking Aga range cooker and is normally fitted with lids that are enamelled all over but can also come with chrome/enamel lids in some cases.

Almost always converted to oil or gas from solid fuel they often have all sorts of boxes and pipes coming out the front at all angles!

The easiest way to identify if you have one is again the hob. It's totally flat, right to the back! 

 

'30amp' Aga range cooker

These are a kind of night storage heater Aga that run on electricity and charge overnight. 

Easily identified by...

• ...the large double height panel to the left of the ovens. This covers the bank of elements.
• ...the raised rear shrouds behind the lids that hold fans and electronics.
